Melody Holt Reveals Exactly How She Found Out Husband Martell Got Another Woman Pregnant

On the latest episode of ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville,’ Martell confirmed that, yes, he fathered a child with his mistress. Now his wife Melody reveals how she uncovered the truth.

Melody Holt is revealing the remarkable way she says she found out that her husband Martell was having a baby with his mistress. The Love & Marriage: Huntsville star shares her story in an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife and her account is vastly different from the one her ex recounted on the Feb. 27 episode.

On the latest installment of OWN’s hit unscripted show, Maurice Scott looked stunned as his 39-year-old buddy confirmed months of internet rumors by admitting that, yes, he’s having a child with another woman. “[I] immediately told [Melody] that that one person, she was pregnant. And I haven’t confided in anybody,” Martell said. “I haven’t told anyone but you guys. So, she is pregnant.” Asked specifically if his mistress is having his child, he responded, “I would say so. The timing. It’s on time.”

But, while Martell told his buddies that he told Melody the news because he uncovered her alleged infidelity, she claims she extracted the info out of him another way. That’s because the mom-of-four claims a friend had a revelation in a dream and tipped her off.

“It was very interesting,” Melody, 35, says. “A mutual friend…she called me and she said, ‘Hey Mel, I just want to check on you.’” The friend also told Melody about a dream that she’d had. While Melody doesn’t reveal the exact contents of the dream, she does say that it prompted her to approach her husband of 12 years.

“About a day or two after that I said to Martell, ‘So, when [are] you planning on letting your kids know about this baby you got on the way?’” Melody claims Martell looked shocked in response. “He just told me, ‘She just told me about it’ and all that… Whatever.”

Melody says she didn’t hesitate to confront her husband after her friend shared her vision. “I’m a dreamer too, so I can appreciate… God reveals things to me through dreams all the time, since I was a kid,” she says. “So, when she said it to me, I believed it enough to boldly say, ‘When are you going to tell your kids about XYZ?’”  Asked when she thinks Martell would have told her about the baby, she can only speculate. “Probably never. I have no idea,” she says.

For the record, Melody denies stepping out on Martell during their marriage. “What I will say – and I told Martell this – anyone that I talked to or gave the time of day to [I did] when I had left, moved out, got my own place, was planning on divorcing you. I don’t consider that cheating on you.”

Melody previously told HL that she decided to end her marriage and leave Martell in April last year because she didn’t like his attitude and statements that he was making about relationships. It seemed to her, she said that he was “trying to figure out a way to do wrong better.” “You haven’t grown yet and I was just at the point where I’ve [given] you three years at this point. I don’t have any more time to give you to grow up,” she said about the self-confessed cheater.

Her decision to leave came a month before she found out about the baby, not the other way around, she says. “I left him about a month before I found out,” she says. “I was already out. I had moved out. So, yeah, really for me [the baby news] was confirmation…”

On and off screen the Holts are now trying to navigate their new reality, which includes divorce and co-parenting. As for their four kids – Mariah, 9, Martell II, 8, Maliah, 4, and Malani, 1 – Melody says she’s helping them to adjust by “showering them with extra love.” She says she lets her children know that “both of us love them so much and they’re so special and they’re not the first kids where their parents don’t stay together.” “I talk to them like that,” she says. “Just try to give them some positivity when it comes to everything, because it is a lot.”

As for Martell she doesn’t ask about his new baby. “I don’t ask him questions about that. That’s his situation. I’m moving on over here.” Love & Marriage: Huntsville airs on OWN on Saturdays at 9/8pm Central

‘The Talk’s Elaine Welteroth Knew Of Amanda Gorman’s ‘Brilliance’ From Teen Vogue: ‘She’s Black History’

‘The Talk’s Elaine Welteroth chatted with us about her days as EIC at Teen Vogue and discovering Amanda Gorman before the rest of the world during Black History Month.

One of The Talk‘s newest co-hosts, Elaine Welteroth, 34, knew about poet and activist Amanda Gorman, 21, well from her days as Editor in Chief of Teen Vogue — so it’s no surprise seeing the rest of the world catching on to her beauty. “She is black history in the making,” Elaine told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY during an episode of TVTalk on Instagram Live on Feb. 25 where she discussed the importance of Black History Month. “She was actually one of Teen Vogue’s 21 under 21 that celebrated extraordinary people doing things under the age of 21. She was on that list. We’ve seen her brilliance for a long time.”

Amanda became a household name after delivering a moving poem at the Inauguration of President Joe Biden, 78, and Vice President Kamala Harris, 56, on Jan. 20. Reciting “The Hill We Climb” in front of millions of people only days after the deadly riot at the Capital in Washington D.C., the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history continued to catch everyone’s attention. On Feb. 7, Amanda was the first poet to perform at the Super Bowl, reciting “Chorus of the Captains” which was aimed at the front line workers who have been saving lives during the coronavirus pandemic.

After parting ways with Teen Vogue in 2017, Elaine is not at all surprised to see Amanda making a name for herself all these years later. “It’s so incredible to watch her have this national — This global stage that is watching her,” Elaine added. “That is celebrating her, that is learning from her.”

Elaine grew emotional during a recent episode of The Talk after opening up about her own struggles growing up as in a mixed race household. “I could not watch it back,” Elaine said. “I think you’re asking an interesting question that if I had a Kamala Harris and if I could have a roll in terms of being a multicultural woman. A black woman who comes from mixed race heritage who is well regarded and who speaks openly about her cultural identity and individuality of it all. And her pride, but really acknowledging her blackness. Racial identity is so beautifully complex and we don’t really talk about mixed race identities really often. So I don’t know. Maybe I would’ve felt a little different.”

For now, Elaine is excited to watch the girl she knew about back in 2017 continue to soar. “Her future is so bright that she does have that quality that brings people together across color lines, across generational divides. This is the very, very beginning of what will be an impactful journey for her.” You can catch Elaine and her fellow co-hosts weekdays on The Talk at 2pm est/1pm pst on CBS.

Mary-Kate Olsen Steps Out With Brightwire CEO John Cooper 1 Month After Divorcing Olivier Sarkozy

Mary-Kate Olsen looked happy and relaxed as she sipped on a glass of wine while out for dinner with John Cooper in NYC.

Mary-Kate Olsen, 34, stepped out for dinner with Brightwire founder and CEO John Cooper. The Row founder and financial news entrepreneur were spotted at restaurant Estiatorio Milos on Friday, Feb., 26 in New York City — see the photos via Daily Mail here. The duo were seated with another couple as they enjoyed what appeared to be a seafood dinner outdoors. Mary-Kate looked particularly relaxed as she sipped on a glass of white wine, and later a martini.

The actress turned fashion designer arrived to the eatery bundled up in a black coat over a matching ensemble and cozy beanie hat, which she removed as she sat down at the table next to John. She also wore a protective black face mask as she entered the venue. At one point, she kept her hair up in a ponytail, later removing it as the evening went on. While her all-black look was simple and understated, she accessorized with a unique cuff earring as well as black booties with a silver heel. Later, Mary-Kate and John departed the restaurant together.

John is best known for founding Brightwire back in 2008, which is an English language news agency focused on the financial and business space. The Michigan-based company remains owned by John, who has raised millions in venture capital over the last decade to grow the successful business. The sighting with Mary-Kate comes just a month after she reached a divorce settlement with husband of nearly six years Pierre Olivier Sarkozy, 51.

The pair’s split became public in the spring of 2020, with Mary-Kate requesting an emergency court order after signing a divorce petition on April 17. At the time, courts were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The filing was denied after being deemed non-essential, and Mary-Kate filed once again on May 25 — the exact date the courts re-opened. The divorce was finalized nine months later in Jan. 2021 via video hearing over Zoom.

“So, we have reached a final agreement,” Olivier Sarkozy’s lawyer Michael Mosberg could be heard saying to New York Judge Lori Sattler during the the Zoom regarding the divorce. “And we appreciate the time and latitude that you’ve given us. … It’s been incremental, but we continue to make forward progress…We, as of this morning, reached the final agreement. We just need to revise that agreement, get it executed and get it to you, which we will have by the end of next week, but … the deal is now done,” he confirmed.
